Our mission for this 1890s Victorian was a delicate balancing act: introducing modern luxury without silencing the 19th-century echoes. We opened the floor plan to create a sprawling suite, replicating original crown moldings and adding period-authentic wainscoting throughout.
The highlight: a modern shower featuring classic Carrera marble in a Victorian-era basketweave pattern mixed with period appropriate styled subway tiles. Our finishing touch, Moen Weymouth fixtures in chrome—complete with those iconic "Hot" and "Cold" cross-handles.
1890 Elegance. 2026 Comfort.
The challenge: transform a cluttered family basement into a multi-functional sanctuary without sacrificing style. Our solution was to focus on architectural details that define different "zones" while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.
The new layout centers on social connection. A custom-built wet bar serves as the ultimate hospitality station. Tucked away from the social hub is a professional-grade workout space. This isn't just a finished basement; it’s a thoughtfully curated extension of the home’s living space, designed for the next chapter of family life.
We reimagined this traditional bathroom by leaning into a sophisticated, monochromatic palette. The foundation is set with iconic checkerboard tiling, grounded by the warmth of a custom walnut vanity. While the matte black accents provide a contemporary edge, the real hero is the Onyx bath surround system—offering a high-end look with a non-porous, easy-to-clean finish that will stand the test of time.
This project was all about flow and functionality. By removing a central wall, we transformed a cramped traditional kitchen into a transitional masterpiece. To solve the home’s storage needs, we designed an expansive island that serves as both a workspace and a focal point. The design pairs cool steel gray and crisp white cabinetry with striking granite surfaces, while professional-grade appliances and sleek hardware provide the perfect final flourish.
The objective for this renovation was to create a space that feels like it has always belonged. We aimed for a classic, enduring aesthetic that balances the charm of a bygone era with the clean lines of modern design. To achieve this we chose a black and white palette and high-quality textures--classic Carerra marble basketweave tile and ceramic subway tile provided historical character and visual interest. The final result is a bathroom that is as functional as it is beautiful, designed to age gracefully for decades to come.
